The quality of the makeup overall is subpar. I swatched a lot of shades and found many of the lighter ones don't show up at all, but the darker ones do show up light at first but are buildable. Since it's a beginner makeup kit I don't expect great quality but it could be a little better. The glosses were good, no problems there. I like that the little mirror inside is basically a travel mirror you can throw into a purse or something. The case is super cute but it's very lightweight. Overall I think it could make a nice gift for someone younger who is just trying out makeup for the first time, but if you're looking for higher quality makeup without the cost marked up with the case you could find an alternative kit.

I actually got this set for my daughter who is just starting to get interested in real makeup. Makeup geared towards kids is fun but it doesn't normally come with much. She isn't ready for a full face of makeup yet but wanted to play around with some real lip products, eye shadows, etc. I saw this kit and thought it would be perfect for her to experiment with.

I don't think this set would be suitable for experienced makeup users. Most of the products aren't bad by any means but they aren't quite on par with many mainstream brands.

In this set, you get a nice assortment of eye shadow, lip glosses, blush, highlighter, bronzer and brushes, all packed neatly into a sturdy pink train case.

You only get two brushes in the kit but they serve their purpose. The bristles aren't super full but they are suitable for beginners.

The eyeshadow palette was my daughter's favorite! There are a lot of natural, warm colors to choose from. Nothing neon or crazy colored. We have been having a great time experimenting with different colors and designs. Nothing is too highly pigmented and leaves more of a natural finish. (we got to try the silver case set, as well, and that one has some additional cool shades (blues) in it which was really nice!)

She loved the lip glosses, as well. They are more pigmented than the lip glosses that typically come in children's sets.

My daughter is too young for bronzer and highlighter so I tried those. They are okay for practice or beginners but wouldn't be my preferred choice. I typically use a powder blush but the cream blushes in this set were actually pretty nice. They added a nice little bit of color to my normally pale cheeks, LOL.

The case itself is great quality. It feels high quality and latches securely. There is even some additional space inside to add in some of your own makeup items.

This makeup kit is very versatile and great for applying makeup to the face and eyes. The eyeshadow colors are all very practical and very easy to carry around, just so I'm taking it with me when I go to New York tomorrow. The little mirror is also very cute.

This set is a really cute introductory set for girls I would say in the preteen age. I wouldn't say these are quality make up; however, it definitely is good practice and good "play" make up! There is a little bit of everything from brushes, to a mirror, blush, eyeshadow and even the little carrying case. The case itself feels light and not super durable but I definitely feel like this is a good one for playing with and practicing with before getting better more expensive sets! Definitely a good gift for girlie girls!
