The media could not be loaded. First off, this is ice machine number 8 for us. We've had 2 GE opals that went bad. We switched to Gevi and they would only last about 4 months. We had 4 of those because they would send replacements and they would all quit working. Our last one was an Igloo and it also quit working completely. We would clean them regularly but eventually they all screeched so loud and then stopped working. I'm hoping this brand lasts. It's very sleek looking, quiet and only 1 button. I love the see through lid. I let it sit for over 24hrs before I used it as it said in the manual. I'll give it 5 stars for now....

First, and most important, this makes the most amazing ice! It is so crunchable, and when I put it in my water I find that I drink much more water. I'll go through cups faster and so that is a perk on its own.

Cleaning it up originally, I wish there was a way to clean out the area where the ice is actually made. The ice doesn't really freeze solid enough to be able to dump the first few batches of ice and feel like you have a cleaner ice maker.

The ice is constantly melting in the bucket, with the water dropping down and being recycled into more ice. I tried to get some in a bag to stick in the freezer. It worked, except that the ice is so wet that it melts together in a bag. Maybe if you want to keep it in the freezer, put the ice pebbles a bit spread out on a cookie tray, and once they're more solidly frozen you can put them in a bag. The ice that is frozen in a bag will still be just as amazing when you put it in your drink later, and you don't have to go through all the process of clearing out the water and draining it.

After each use it says to drain the water into the sink through a hole in the bottom. I found that taking a large cup, and just moving the ice maker a bit off the edge of the counter to pour it in, was an easier option. That might not work if you have a bunch of water in there though.

Bottom line is, great ice. And if you make enough to save for a bit, you won't have to keep cleaning it and running it every day.

I absolutely love this ice maker! It makes the perfect little pebble ice that's easy to chew. It was super easy to set up out of the box, just plug it in, clean it out, and add your water. I couldn't believe how quickly it made all the ice, way faster than any other machine I've used. It's solid and heavy duty, very nice quality. It's big, but not too big where it takes up too much space on my counter. Honestly it's just the right size and I can put it up in the cabinet if I really wanted, but I don't mind it out on the counter. It's really quiet too, which I wasn't expecting, but so happy about. The ice is easy to get out and it's simple to clean as well. This has to be my favorite ice maker I've owned so far. We love soft pebble ice in my home, so it's going to get a ton of use. Very satisfied and would recommend it.

We have had this set up for a couple days now and we just adore it. The ice is amazing! Once we received the unit, we unpacked it and let it sit on the counter unmoved for 24hours like it instructs. It was hard because we were so excited to have "sonic ice"! We cleaned the ice basket and scoop and wiped out the inside of the ice make, filled it to the max line and replaced the basket. Then we plugged it in and turned it on"¦ maybe 6 minutes later ice started coming out. It was ridiculous how we were all waiting, watching the ice come out. I mean, come on"¦ it's ice! 😂🤷ðŸ»"â'‚ï¸.

We love how attractive this unit is. It is large, but it fits on our counter well. We love the super simple interface with color coded instructions. We love that we don't have to plumb the thing! That would have made it so we couldn't have it as we rent. We love how fast it is and that the front of the lid is clear so you can see the ice coming out. The cute little suction cup scoop holder is a nice touch.

The unit does have a loudish fan, so getting used to that is a thing. This is a function of the ice makers in general and not this unit. My friend has a different brand and hers is actually louder.

So far this is a dream and we wonder how we lived without the ice it makes (first world problems for sure). Of course we don't know the long term and will update if our experience changes. Highly recommend so far!

It started making ice within the first 10 minutes of turning it on. It's very quiet and quick!
