Stopped working after 7 months, fixed issue with the software

Worked well with good picture and sound for the money. But then all of a sudden the picture developed a green hue after 7 months that makes the camera unusable. Put in a warranty claim to the vendor. After multiple rounds of email questions from eMeet's support team, I finally just gave up and bought a different brand. The warranty return process felt like a scam and like they were just waiting out the remaining warranty period by continuing to ask questions about the issue and requiring download of software to correct a hardware issue. Giving 2 stars because it worked well for the 7 months, but would definitely not buy again.
Update: customer support followed up with me and walked me through using the downloaded software to reset the camera, and now it works like new again. Giving 4 stars because of the hassle, but the device is working as intended again and the picture is great. If you have a glitch, don't give up. Grateful for the company's persistence and also their willingness to refund our purchase and send us a label for return if the last effort hadn't worked out!

Great quality but only wideshot

Great but may not be the best if you are working from home. I use this camera for work (in office) and can say that it has great image quality while maintaining stable. It was easy to set up and serves it purpose. Plug in and go. But my only complaint, which is important for some meetings, is that I cannot adjust the width of the screenshot. I have been able to do this with past web cams but this one doesn't allow you to adjust the shot to just your face and body. It's a wideshot camera which gets about 3 ft to my left and 3ft to my right. Not always best if you are using this from home.

First I'll say, the hardware on this camera seems to work very well. The autofocus found my face and I could hold documents up and they would come into focus.
I did have compatibility issues with my specific system, which has other issues related to graphics.
I have a Thinkpad T470 with a Nvidia GeForce gpu running Kubuntu 22.04.
Depending on the software I used, I got a lot of freezing and lagging, or not.
I tried it with the following programs:
"cheese" locked up and exited with errors.
"Kamoso" worked flawlessly, but it has almost no features. So there wasn't much to go wrong.
"guvcview" lagged terribly, made terrible videos, and ultimately froze my system and I had to sysrequest out.
I did not test it with any kind of streaming app, no zoom or skype or whatnot.
I have nothing negative to say about the camera itself. It seems like a nice piece of kit. It just didn't work well with my system and Emeet doesn't have a Linux app like it does for Win and Mac.

Solid WebCam for Mac Mini M1

Yes, the camera works with Apple's Mac Mini with the M1 chip running macOS Sonoma 14.0. I read mixed results in the reviews and questions. I'm guessing those who had issues missed some basic setup steps. Here's my experience, and I hope it helps others.
I connected the camera to one of the two USB ports on the back of the Mini. I have a USB hub for other components, but I plugged the camera directly into the computer. I then tried FaceTime and Zoom, and the camera worked, although the image appeared very grainy, especially for a 1080P unit. I did a reboot, but that didn't help.
I then went to the Emeet website to figure out how to adjust the image quality. I downloaded their EMEETLINK software for Mac. Once installed, the image quality improved. I could use the software to change things such as sharpness, contrast, and white balance. I still don't consider it crystal clear 1080P, but it's good enough for video chats. Low-light performance is lacking.
The other reason I got a webcam was to use Siri because the Mac Mini doesn't have a microphone. I went into settings to enable Siri and Location Services so that Siri would be more productive and accurate. Hitting the Siri button caused the microphone icon to appear at the top of the screen, and Siri worked.
The C960 is a solid little webcam for the money that works fine with the Mac Mini M1 as long as you download the EMEETLINK software. I would not recommend this to anyone looking to do podcasts or YouTube videos. For that, use the iPhone and Continuity Camera feature built into the Mac, or get a higher-end 4k cam. But if you want a simple camera and microphone for the Mac Mini, this is a solid choice for the money.
