The frame is lightweight and not incredibly tough and the wire that comes with it won't work bc we have too many predators around here. However it's perfect for the top and that will save me some money and I couldn't build the frame that cheaply any other way.

Love this for my ladies, my only complaint is that the poles are very thin metal an the cage is very light once put together! I attached it to the one I already had ab used rocks along the outside to hold it down! But other then that it's a great product!

You don't need an engineering degree to put it together, but it would be nice if it came with decent instructions. The instructions suck and some of the pieces/parts aren't labeled so you don't know what they are. Two competent people will be able to put the frame together within 2 hours however.
