I really do like the cane. However, it did come with a splintered piece. I don't know if it happened during shipping or when. But I still use it because I did like it.

I needed a walking stick when I badly injured my knee and I am very pleased with this attractive and sturdy walking stick. I had never had to use a walking stick before this purchase but the description on Amazon helped me find the right one for my height. The walking stick is very attractive and nicely balanced and has greatly helped me in my recovery.

I purchased an Asterom cane a few weeks ago as I am finally at the point of giving in to the inevitable...my chronic pain and incurable disease has finally gotten to the point that I needed one. I love my Asterom cane so much I ordered a second, different design, which was every bit as nice as the first. My wife, who is a cancer survivor, and petite 5' 85 lbs has had mobility issues ever since her chemo but was too stubborn to get a much needed cane. She thought my cane was beautiful, but she refused to order one for herself...yes she is THAT stubborn...but after seeing me getting around easily with such a well made work of art in a cane, she said she might consider one. Well, that discussion went on for a week. Finally I ordered one for her without her knowledge, and it arrived today. I put it together and handed it to her. She has not put it down since. Her Asterom walking cane is every bit as well made as mine ( different design and size) and just as perfectly crafted. Like mine, hers is well balanced, strong, and truly a handcrafted work of art. She finally admitted that she should have gotten one sooner, and Asterom is my one and only choice for a quality cane.

We love the cane! It's beautiful, functional and just the right size. When we took it out of the box my wife fell in love with it immediately. She tried it and found it to be perfect for her. We were a bit worried about buying one online as it might not be exactly what was needed, but we shouldn't have worried. It was exactly what we ordered, and the workmanship, quality of the wood, the finish and everything about it exceeded our expectations. We are SO glad we went with it! THANK YOU!!
