• •RETAINS MOISTURE - With roots that can grow up to 4-feet deep and a waxy leaf coating, our turf type tall fescue grass seed preserves moisture and limits evaporation. It withstands heavy traffic and is perfect for growing in sunny and shady areas. Requires 6+ hours of sunlight per day.
• •IDEAL GROWING CONDITIONS - The best time to apply is mid-August to mid-October while the ground is still warm and the nights are cooler. The next best time to plant is mid-March through mid-May. Looks like a sodded Bluegrass lawn, but needs less care. Plant seed ¼" inch deep and rake lightly into soil until covered.
• •COMPLETE COVERAGE - This 3 lb bag will seed up to 750 sq. ft. for new lawns. For overseeding, this bag will seed up to 1,500 sq. ft. The germination time is 14 - 21 days. Water seeded areas twice a day, for 5 - 10 minutes. Continue watering daily for a few weeks until the grass plants reach a height of 2 – 2.5 inches.
• •LAWN CARE TIPS - Founders Reserve grows well in all soil types like sandy soil, clay soil, and sandy loam soil. The grass seed does not need to be aerated and is great for erosion control. Begin mowing when the new grass has reached a height of 3 - 4 inches. Apply with any of our soil amendments or fertilizers.
