Since we have no choice but to use an electric grill at our new condo, I DI a fair amount of research on grills. This grill is inexp and much larger than I anticipated. Also, I've had no trouble at all keeping the grill hot. I'm very pleased!

Love this electric grille. We moved to a condominium and were very disappointed to find that gas grilles are prohibited. That is until my George Foreman arrived. I have cooked fish, burgers, sausage and chicken so far with excellent results. The cast iron griddle is removable and once it has cooled I just bring it to the kitchen sink. Clean up is a breeze. I would definitely recommend this grille.

After several months of use, I can't say enough good things about this grill: easy to put together right out of the box; cooks meats and vegetables to perfection (including adding grill marks for aesthetics); temperature control is perfect; and, it's a breeze to clean up afterward (compared to charcoal and gas grills). It is the perfect blend of convenience and ease of use (unless the power goes out at your house, of course!)
Please note that this review applies only to this particular model (GGR50B). Other, slightly cheaper versions of the same grill do not include a vented cover (very important for controlling moisture in the cooked meats). Also, this model has a reliable and stable foot pad and stand.

Perfect grill for apartment!

Our new apartment will not let us have charcoal or propane grills. We're big BBQ fans and were determined to find a way to keep enjoying our favorite Summer foods. We had had a George Foreman counter top grilling machine in the past so we looked to see if there were any sort of electric grills and were so excited when we found this grill! We bought it before Memorial Day & had our annual BBQ. All of our family and us LOVED how our food came out! One of the best parts is that this grill can be used with or without the stand. We used this grill right on our kitchen table and then just set it on the counter out of the way. My husband's favorite thing was this was crazy easy to clean! We are so happy & ready for all the upcoming Summer holidays!
Hopefully my bad experience was just a fluke and I've reordered a new one!

This grill has been AMAZING. It heats up quickly to grill steaks, chicken, salmon, pork chops, burgers, and vegetables. It really seals in the flavors and everything comes out tasting delicious. We ordered it to use on our covered deck because we are not allowed to have a gas or charcoal grill where we live. We store the electrical component/plug-in indoors immediately after use once the grill cools off and cover the body of the grill with a heavy duty grill cover. 11 months after we purchased it I noticed a strong plastic electrical burning odor coming from the grill while it was heating up and the component that plugs into the grill was super hot and I immediately unplugged it thinking it was close to catching fire. And I'm glad I did because the element was melting and burning (see photos). I called Amazon and they were nice enough to offer me a full refund on the amount I paid for it and told me to dispose of the grill. I'm hoping it's a fluke and not typical because up to this point it worked perfectly and there were no issues. I like the grill so much that I'm reordering another with the refund I was given. I'll give an update in a few months on the replacement because I don't want to discourage anyone from buying it unless it happens again.
