Great product. the design makes it easy to clean out the vent pipe. This is the second time I bought this product. the first one deteriorated from the sun as I did not paint it. It lasted about 15 years. I learned from the manufacture that they sell just the top (which is what fell apart). This second one I painted in hopes it will last a few years.
This vent works great for the low opening from the crawl space. It might be a bit tricky to connect to the metal vent. Don't try connecting it to a flexible hose. You should have a metal duct going through the wall.

Such a great design and worlds better than most other vents

Such a great design and worlds better than most other vents. Yeah, it's pretty big and bulky, but if you have extra of your house's exterior paint, you can paint it and it'll blend in just fine.
Most Solid Dryer Vent

I bought a can of Krylon paint at Wal-Mart for $4, works great. Just experimented, took out of the box, wiped it down with a microfiber towel, put on a light 1st coat and 2nd coat. Dries in 10 minutes and stays on solid. Only time will tell so can't give an in depth function of this product yet but is definitely the most solid vent I've ever purchased. I live in negative weather climate and the past cheap plastic vents I've purchased lasted quite awhile, so I have no doubt this one should last even longer.

Way better than the standard metal flapper cover it replaced. I didn't get the screws, though, maybe they fell out through the cutouts in the box.
