Great tool for a crowded docking area

I bought a new boat that is larger than my old one. I have a hard to approach dock due to surrounding boats. Now, I can come in close and just pull the boat in the rest of the way. Even my wife can do this.

This is very sturdy and really long. We have a shorter one that is a little lighter that I use, and my husband uses this one when we go out on our sailboat.

Right out of the box the first section jammed after tightening it with about 15 inches extended. It was difficult to turn it in the release direction and after a short time of trying in both directions it seems to be a permanently 15 inches longer than when I started. By the marks on it I think I received somebody's reject. Now it won't fit back into the box for return.

Solid build, good grip and strong hook and it does float. Easy to use and stays put. I don't see any negatives at this point.

Good quality and value. I comes in handy being able to extend up to 12'. I also purchased a deck brush that I attached to it, which worked out really well. I recommend this product.
