Roses in unamended clay soil barely grew, these spikes made a huge difference!

We planted roses last spring in our unamended clay hillside. They grew some, but we were hoping that they were concentrating on root growth. We live in zone 7 and finally realized in early fall that fertilizing might help so bought these and stuck them in the ground uphill of each rose. It was pretty amazing to see the new growth over the last 3 months--even into our chilly December. We'll definitely order these again and insert as recommended.

Easy to use and makes the roses nice and beautiful. Wish the driver plastic piece was longer, so you can drive it down deep and easily pull it up with out getting hands all dirty with the dirt and mulch.

I did not have miraculous folage appear, but they're not dead. I have had several blooms which I might have gotten anyway. I experimented, and used them on one rose bush out of 7 identical plants that were planted at the same time and there is no difference between the test and the control plants.

I've used Jobe's Rose spikes for my roses for several years because it is one of the best long-term fertilizers for roses that I've used. The blooms and foliage on my 80 roses are spectacular after I use the spikes. Very few stores carry this product and thus was excited that I could purchase this product from Amazon.
Blooming roses and Jasmine plant got covered with Jasmines.

I got this after my friend recommended it. Fed this to roses and jasmines. The roses gave great yield for like a week then Pheonox temps soared to 110+ and rose plants started to wither.
At the same time I fed the roses I tried it on Jasmines too. Boy oh boy what to say the jasmine plant vanished.
LITERALLY VANISHED
Vanished under a cover of JASMINES.
It was jasmines and jasmines and we had to pluck jasmines both morning and evening.
The jasmines bloomed for a month.
Guess the heat is taking some toll or jasmine season is coming to an end the yield is coming down. Going to tey to do it early spring and see how long I get the yield.
