This piano lamp is all I expected. The base is genuine marble so there are slight imperfections, but that is part of the natural beauty of the lamp. The price might be slightly high, but it is a quality lamp.

So far so good! It looks good and gives good light. It would have been nice if it came with the light bulb. You must buy a T10 light bulb, which you can find at most hardware stores. The packaging only says you need a "T" lightbulb, so it took a while to figure out which T lightbulb would fit with the lamp, so better instructions in the packaging would have caused a little less stress.

This is a great looking, classic piano lamp. However, as others have mentioned, the shade was crooked and the two arms that hold the shade were also twisted out of square. The screw holding the shade in place, and the screw holding the arms on the base, had been tightened down with too much force and as a result things were twisted out of position. My husband was able to fix this, but it took a fair amount of effort on his part. It never should have left the factory the way it was. Other than this, it's an excellent lamp for my console piano. It sheds completely adequate light on four or five sheets of music spread across the music stand. On a tall upright piano, the light might be too far away from the music, but my piano is only about 42" high, and the top of the music stand is almost level with the top of the piano. I purchased the Kiven Tubular Dimmable Instant On Filament Led bulbs 4W 110V T10 Led Light Bulb 360 Degree No Flickering No Stroboflash For Wall Light Desk Light (Soft White 2700k)(Equivalent 40w Incandescent Light Bulbs). It's an LED, so no heat, and it casts a nice warm light.

I love it, love it, love it! It is the perfect small desk lamp for me. The polished brass is just the right look for our desk area. The lamp is also well made, a quality product, and it is priced very reasonably. My husband loves it, too, because this new lamp replaces the one that I borrowed from him, so now he has "his" lamp back. I could also use this as a piano lamp, and I am sure that it would be fine for that purposes, too, although I have not yet tried it out for this purpose. We bought the tubular bulb for this lamp separately, so we did not have the problem of the bulb that was offered on line not fitting right or something.
