A must have! Superb! Get one, now! I am an artist and I need real daylight! I can't live without this lamp! Seriously it is worth every penny! I am an artist and I work in graphite, colored pencil, watercolor and oil paints! I purchased an OTT-Lite 13W desk task light and found it sorely lacking! I NEEDED a brighter lamp! I purchased the(U31375) Daylight Artists Studio Lamp + Stand set and an additional Daylight Artist Studio Lamp (U31475 )Artist Clip-on studio Lamp). I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! For reading or drawing on my couch one lamp is okay, but I prefer two lamps to be on because my apartment is so poorly lit! When I am working on a painting I want all 4 lamps on. (You do need to buy the additional 3 lamps separably). This is quite possibly the BEST purchase I have made for my eye health and my art career! I highly, highly, highly recommend the Daylight Artist Studio lamp!

It is easy to fall over.

The bulb is a little bit heavy. The second week using it, I accidentely touch it and it fell down, the bulb broke. Try adjusting the bulb a little low not so high and its better buy a second spare in just in case have something right away.
The bulb sold by amazon for this lamp works but doesn't have the same brightness that the one that come with the lamp.

The light weight can be either a pro or con depending on how you look at it. But keep in mind it's also fragile! Unfortunately mine fell over, got a dent on the aluminum part , and when I tried turning it on it wouldn't"¦. I realized the bulb had gotten loose so when I was adjusting it, the part that secures the bulb in place snapped off so now I can't screw the bulb in. :( before this happened this worked so well! And was I love how you can adjust the height and angle as well as the perfect lighting for artists! I need a replacement for that one part that receives the bulb.

This lamp is everything I needed for painting, expecially in the Winter months when the light is not that good. It's taller than expected but that's great too. It was so easy to put together. The light is just like sunlight and I'd hightly recommend this lamp!
