I dont like the shade on it

I was in desperate need of a new desk lamp and purchased this one. The shade is bulky and ugly but the lamp stand itself I like. It gives off a lot of light and is nothing like my other 2 desk lamps Ive had in the past where I could adjust the shade and dim the light, not with this one its bright! Comes with an l.e.d light bulb as well. I will probably replace the shade with my old lamp shade

Looks great on my desk just as I wanted. Heavy sturdy lamp with clear-coat to protect the metal finish. The grommets on each side of the glass shade are plastic, which protects the glass but takes away from the looks a little. There is a nut inside the shade on the left that you can gently tighten to stop the shade from tilting down--which I had to do. You need to be careful unpacking it since each part is carefully packaged with the cord running through it. Once you get each part free you have to pull on the cord to bring them together and screw the post to the base. At first it seems like nothing is happening when you try to attach the post to the base, but it does screw into it until it is secure and you align the shade squarely to the base.
Excellent buy for a middle of the line lamp.

This lamp came as described in the listing and picture, was not broken and was easy to assemble. It has a very nice faux antique look, but like most knock off products, under examination would not stand up to the real thing. All of the detailing and paint is well done and looks nice. There are minor flaws on the lamp base, but nothing big enough for me to send back. I really like that the shade is strudy and a very nice, even amber color. The lighting through it is really pretty.
My only complaints are that the base isn't totally flat and rocks very slightly, but not enough to be unstable. The light bulb it comes with is not very good as it only lights up half of the shade, as seen in other customer pictures. But that's pretty easy to fix, so no big deal.
I like it a lot and think it's a great find for the price.

I've been a fan of these lamps for years after seeing them in various movies. This model is awesome and I love it. I prefer this square base to the traditional circle one. It looks more sturdy and dignified to me. The glass and metal are top notch and I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Just like the inventor of the original Emeralite intended, the green color has a soothing effect. For those saying the bulb doesn't cover the whole glass shade, that is easily fixed by buying an T10 E26 bulb which will cover most of the shade.
