I bought this light to use with my belt sander so I can see bevels and edges forming. It was suggested to me by several knife makers. Just opened and used it today it's very bright and has a strong magnet. The flex arm holds up well even with the vibration. Only thing at all bad on it was the flex arm was packed a little tight and one of the joint was a little pushed open. I worked the ones around it a few times and it seems to have slipped back together. I'll be suggesting this item to others and probably buy one for my drill press as well

Although I was initially skeptical about how useful this light would be, it's turned out to be a solid performer. I stuck it to the side of my drill press and use it to cast side light across the work piece. This is helpful in getting the point of a drill bit exactly where it needs to hit the work. The gooseneck itself is plenty stiff and holds whatever shape you need without drifting. I've used cheaper goosenecks in the past where you bend them to one position and there's so much slop that the don't hold it. Not the case with this light. I'm probably going to get a couple more of these for other tools in my shop.

These little lamps are excellent! I got one for my band saw, and liked it so much I ordered another one for my drill press. The magnet that holds it to the machines, is plenty strong. The light is bright, and is very adjustable. In the "Was this a good purchase?" question, it was without a doubt!

The lights on my patio did not illuminate my grill enough and it was hard to cook when it was dark out I had an LED battery light I was using but batteries dying and finding a place to clip it on were a pain. So when I saw this light I figured it would work because it plugs in and I can magnetically stick it where I need it on the grill. I got the smaller $20 one and the LED's are just barely bright enough but better than anything I had. I think the $30 (brighter version) would have been a better choice for me. Still If you need this type of light it does the job it's supposed to.
