Tips on Color and Quality

The price for this rolling pin is amazing. With that price, comes some variability. The "white" color has gray in it, like the photo. But because it is marble, it will vary anywhere from mostly white to mostly gray. I know this because I had to replace the first one I received since the marble was broken.
The next one I received was much more white (yay!) but didn't roll/turn very well. If you also have this issue, don't go about replacing it (unless you want to chance another color). Inside is just a metal rod. Set the rolling pin on the base and spin the handles. When they get stuck, gently press down on both handles to bend the inner metal rod. Spin again and repeat until handles spin freely.

It cuts the cheese, and it looks great while doing it

My husband recently discovered the art of smoking cheeses, which left me with numerous blocks of delicious cheese and no way to slice them so, of course, I turned to Amazon to solve the problem. I decided on this particular slicer because it's nearly identical to the one my mom has owned and used for nearly two decades and I've always liked hers. As expected, this cheese slicer does it's job just as well as moms.
The wire was slightly misaligned when it arrived, but that is easy to fix by simply unscrewing the handle some to loosen it and repositioning it. So far it's sliced through at least 20lbs of cheeses (swiss, mozzarella, cheddar, colby, jack, mixed and marbled cheeses...) without issue and without breaking the wire. It's as simple as sliding the block over a little if you want thicker or thinner slices, and it's easy enough for even my 5-year-old to use when he feels like helping at snack time.

Great for all spices!

I needed a spice grinder for Indian spices because we make a lot of curries, etc. After a lot of investigation, it seemed that old-fashioned mortar and pestle hand-grinding is better than expensive electric grinders. This one was well reviewed, so I gave it a try. It arrived just fine, and ready to go. It fits a fair amount of spices, but it's not really big. It happens to be the right size for me, though. It's massively heavy (surprise, it's a block of marble), and I expect it to be quite durable. It smells rather like stone out of the box, and retained that scent after a first washing. I'm sure that'll change as it has more spices ground into it over the years. The smell/taste doesn't transfer to food, in my experience so far, so no complaints. Also, it's a beautiful color.

Probably the heaviest rolling pin I've ever used but I love it. Its very well made and I've used it to roll out pasta and puff pastry and it worked very well with both. I like that it comes with a base because even though I have it in a drawer it is still stable and not rolling around into any of my other appliances. Its also a very beautiful rolling pin and it happened to match a marble cutting board that I received as a present. Works great and looks great, thats all you can really ask for.
Cheap, Easy, and a Great Value!

Cheap, easy and getting the biggest bang for your buck. It's what i'm all about. This cheese cutter hits all of those points and more. See, i'm cheap, so I buy those HUGE blocks of cheddar cheese on the cheap, and I have typically laboriously cut off slices as needed using a knife. It, is, a, PAIN! And dangerous too, once a cheap-o steakknife I was using to slice up some cheese broke into pieces --- and I was lucky enough to walk away with all my fingers. So, I bought this instead. Price is right, it makes slicing cheese really really easy, and it looks fancy.
Now, i'm not using it how it most likely is intended to be used: as a fancy showpiece for all the fancy parties that i'm not throwing.... sometimes, I just want a slice of cheese to cook with or eat on the spot... and for that, I can tell you without a doubt... there is no better way to cut the cheese. A thing to consider is that it is relatively small, so anything you cut needs to fit in it; what I usually do is cut those big logs of cheddar into more manageable pieces, and just whip out a log when I need some cheese, slice slice slice, then put the log back, and you're good to go.
Also, it cleans up easy with just a dish towel.
Hope that helps!
