Does not thread with Sched. 40 fitting

This bulkhead does not properly fit a threaded S40 PVC fitting. The threads are too far down to properly lock into fitting. See pictures.
I used it as a bulkhead fitting to pass electrical and steering cables through a pontoon boat console and floor.

Decent product but not as well made as expected. It is a lightweight cheap product that is only good for very light applications. I could not get the bulkhead to seal.

I was replacing a smaller bulkhead in a duck swimming pond where the feathers and straw kept blocking the pipe. This gasket is SO MUCH BETTER! I threaded it through, tightened the nut and slid my 1 1/2" out feed pipe into the smooth interior and not a drop leaks. YEA! Ducks are messy, any little bit helps.
Great bulkhead for lighter duty use!

This is a slightly softer fitting and should probably be used on something along the lines of a 5 gallon pail or something. The Banjo fittings are much more rugged. The positives on this are that many threads will fit and adapt to this, and it has plenty of threads left over, allowing you to penetrate thicker materials.
