I wanted to make some Dresden plates with curved blades and ordered these templates. I wanted to be able to cut my fabric using them, rather than simply tracing around them and then cutting with scissors. I used a very small rotary cutter (18 mm??) and was able to easily manipulate around the curved top edge. Before cutting however, I sprayed a little adhesive spray on the back of the template so it wouldn't slip while I was cutting and that really helped. In fact, everything worked so well that I ended up cutting more blades and making several more Dresden plates than I had planned--they're quite addictive!
