For that amazing Apocalyptica sound, but very unreliable

I use this on a regular basis. I have gone through several because every time I unplug the pickup it pulls the jack apart on the preamp. It can't be easily repaired. I have not found a workaround for this yet. I tried leaving the pickup plugged in all the time but that drains the battery and eventually your going to have to unplug it to replace the battery. I always have to order a new one when it breaks and this is very frustrating because of the price!!!
