Very sharp and easy to maintain blade with a sharpening stone. Metal will easily dent if you hit a material harder than wood such as a nail, screw, rock, etc. I use this to turn logs and old pallet wood into kindling for my wood stove and fire pit.

I only complain that there is not a real blade cover.that you can carry on your belt. There is a plastic shipping container where you can lock the blade in with a carry handle. other than that it is sharp and hammerhead works without a lot of damage.

We love this brand has a blaze orange color which helps of this is dropped in the woods. This is a smaller ax but works great for fire wood or smaller brush. Can't beat this price.

Best hatchet on the market for the price. Ive slung this on my backpack for all of hunting season, taking it treking camping, and general work around the yard. Goes through green limbs and small trees with ease, will lose an edge fast on hardwood though. A few runs through the sharpener and its back to new. Great tool

I am not an experienced hatchet user/owner but for my first hatchet, I am impressed. It is pretty light weight and it easy to grip. I like the whole in the bottom so I can thread some rope through to attach around my wrist. so it doesn't slip out of my hand. I wish this came with a sheath so that I could attach this to my side when not using.
