Product test, compare and disappointment.

I ordered the 20 pack. I was drawn to both the price and that they are made in USA. A week prior, I purchased a 12 pack of Glow Mind safety light stick. (Made in China) I decided to do a comparison test between the two. Here is what I found with a side by side test. The Glow Mind is a bright green color and the Cyalume Snaplight in more of a yellow green color. The Glow Mind is brighter and also has about a 1/4 more fluid than the Cyalume which adds to their brightness. They both lasted through the night. As I look at them now, about 18 hours later, I would expect them to be dead. The Cyalume is barely alive but surprisingly, the Glow Mind still glows with a decent amount of light. I'm sad to say but my next light stick purchase will be Glow Mind, not Cyalume.

I had just let my kids use the last of these for a sleepover. They were at least 7 years old! They put out an awesome amount of useful light for at least 12hours. They actually stayed illuminated for approximately 16 hours. So I ordered more from Amazon, and when i received these, I was equally as pleased as I was with the ones I was replacing. See attached images for packaging and lot number/expiration dates. I would definitely purchase these again. I will update after using about 50% of the package I purchased.

I've loved green glow sticks since they first appeared when I was a kid. When you play video games, flares or glow sticks are often a part of
of the games, for dark area. So adding glow sticks to your real life emergency bag is just natural. I received the glows ticks in a white box. The box doesn't fit really well in my backpack, so I put them in separately. I did receive the exact same glow sticks as shown in the photo.

Good Quality very heavy duty. Exactly as advertised.
We used this for making the rescue Kayaks more visible at night during a 54 mile swim.
The Chem lights lasted the entire time as advertised.
Units were used above and below water for up 12 hours.
Easily attached for use by a small hole in the top of the light.
This is now part of my everyday use, and will be in my back pack and home.

These Snaplights are great. As soon as I received them, I turned off all the lights in my house which made my house pitch BLACK, as I live in the country. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I took a couple, broke them, and sat them around the biggest room in our house and they lit up the whole room - that's 22x 17. They provide enough light to let you see what you're doing. I know the grandchildren will love them when we have the next campfire. i had seen other children running around with them last 4th of July and decided I figured my kiddies would love them just as well. I figure it us cheap, harmless entertainment for us. Will buy again.
