These things always leak, so make sure you apply silicone to both sides before screwing together. Other than that they are a great value since they are hard to find and cost several times more in stores.

I use these for making filters for my turtles and fish. These are very rigid and of very good quality. I have used this same brand for at least 6 years now I think and have never had a problem.

I didn't use this for it's intended purpose... I used it as a bulkhead fitting to pass electrical and steering cables through a pontoon boat console and floor. Well made. It worked great for my purpose, but I can't comment on how it performs for it's intended purpose...

Decent product, but certainly not as well made as expected. The materials are pretty thin, and could not be tightened down due to thin design of the product. Only good for very light applications on flat surfaces. I could not get the bulkhead to seal.

I needed this to go through the side of my pole barn to run an extension cord to my fig trees for heating in the winter. I read some poor reviews but some good ones too so I bought it. I was very pleased. This is very heavy duty and the threads are the perfect size unlike some of the poor reviews claim. I used a very large slip-joint pair of pliers to tighten it and the gasket formed perfect on the panel corrugation. If anyone else is considering this application, I drilled a hole the same size as the extension cord into a 2" cap (see photo). I then cut a slot through with a saw past the hole to near the opposite side so the plastic cap could open up to allow the cord in. when I tighten it up, it closed on the cord to keep it snug so it doesn't get pulled through and with a dab of silicone it will be water tight. In the spring I will just take it out and replace it with a standard cap. I am very pleased with this purchase.
