I've got lots of poison ivy around my house - and this scrub is GREAT at cleaning off the poison ivy oils after I've been working in my yard. I almost never get poison ivy anymore since I've started using this after I've been working near it. At the most I get a few small patches, and it's my fault for not scrubbing well enough with the tecnu scrub

Poison ivy has not been as big of a problem for my husband and me since we have begun using Tecnu Scrub. I haven't had any out breaks in the past few years. My husband may have a I small outbreak.
My husband had an allergic reaction from handling black walnuts, and this product gave him relief from the rash he had, which was similar to poison ivy. As long as I can afford to buy this product, I will. I live in a rural area where weed rashes are a constant threat!

For the first 35 years of my life, I enjoyed being non-reactive to poison oak. For some reason, shortly after turning 36, my skin began to betray me. I always felt a little bad for people suffering a poison oak rash, but I had no idea of the absolute horror!! Tecnu is a life saver. I use it after hiking and trail runs, and any time I come within a few hundred feet of poison oak. It's pretty drying, so unfortunately I can't use it daily (sort of kidding), but it is a valuable thing to have in my medicine cabinet.
Also, maybe TMI but might come in handy for someone: Tecnu is also useful for washing off capsaicin creme that has accidentally been applied (in a similar looking tube as antifungal, used preventively to avoid jock itch) .
