Sometimes stays on alllllll night.

It's questionable.
Worked perfectly indoors during my testing.
Yet, now that I have it outback it will sometimes turn on and stay on all night. It will turn off automatically at sunrise, which is great. Some nights it wont turn on at all, which I'm hoping is because no cats or raccoons passed by, but I have no way to confirm this.
I do not like that is has an option to turn off after 1 min or 10 min, that is quite a range with no variability.
As I mentioned before, it sometimes will stay on all night with no additional triggers.
With these two things changed, it would be 5 stars in my eyes.

Good product, works fairly well for when you return home unexpectedly after dark. The only problem so far is on the lower time setting. Say, if you make several trips to bring in for example, bags of groceries, the light will not cut off after one minute as set. Thus it stays on and you either have unplug the battery and reset it or cut the light off overnight so it can reset itself. This is our second one. The first one we purchased from Ollie's which lasted around six years. Glad to have found a replacement!

This motion detector worked right out of the box. I have had it in use for a couple of months and it has been working great since. I did have to make a fixture for holding the motion sensor so that it would point in the desired direction, but that was on me.
