It actually installed pretty easily but not in "minutes" as touted
jeff a✓ Verified Purchase•July 19, 2023
It actually installed pretty easily but not in "minutes" as touted, ridiculous really. I installed mine in a 2009 f150 Styleside with a 6'6" bed and it fits good with no apparent leaks. It took me about an hour after reading the instructions several times. I installed mine with a plastic bed liner in place which I probably should have modified in a couple places but I was able to do the install without doing so. Tautness adjustment was not necessary but I like having the ability to do so if I need to in the future. Clamps are a little tricky but work good. Quality seems very good for what I'd consider a medium quality tonneau cover. Lockdown on the back works well, we'll see about long term durability. I would be satisfied if it lasted 3 years with moderate use for the price. Looks really nice.
Update 3/16/2018
I've had this about a year and a half and it has held up well. The only "flaw" I can identify is that the actual cover should be about an inch or so wider in so the velcro side strips mate together with full contact. That being said it has never lifted and the lockdown system has never needed adjustment. I am very happy with this cover for the money spent. It rolls up and secures quickly when you want it out of the way which is what I wanted.I think I will get my three years out of it.
update 8/26/2019 Almost three years and the cover is still in really good shape. The fabric has exceeded my durability expectations and still is pretty much flawless in appearance. Lock down has never given any problems and the cover has never been pulled up by the wind when on the road. I could see getting a couple more years at least out of this , so great marks to the manufacturer for a quality product that works and is lasting well.

Looks great, fairly easy install...but the Elite version is only $30 more??

I bought my 2015 F150 Lariat last week and knew I needed to have a bed cover. I was worried when I started browsing the forums and everyone was talking about covers that were a minimum of $800! I really like the look of the tri-fold's, however I very much dislike the practicality (can only partially fold to expose the bed, or block your back window). This cover exceeds my expectations, and at an excellent price! Took about 30 minutes to install, with the most difficult part being getting the side rails level. I started with the outside clamps and had to loosen and readjust a few times to get the weatherstrip to line up perfect with the edge. Clamps were a bit annoying, but once you figure them out they work well. I have a line-X spray in bed liner and that caused no issues.
The only issue i had with quality was that metal on the back rail was bent where you slide in one of the carriage bolts and it wouldn't fit, however an easy fix was sliding it in from the other side all the way across. Easy fix. Also, I am just now noticing the "Elite" cover is only $30 more than this one, not sure why I didn't spend the extra few bucks for something that is advertised as a far superior product (no fade, waterproof, mold proof, etc). Oh well, on day one this current cover looks great! Also, driving on the highway at 75mph the cover moves a bit, but I hear no noise. Maybe just a little with the windows down, but definitely nothing with them up. Hope this cover lasts for many years to come!

Good Buy, Lives Up To Expectations

Product is as expected. On a previous vehicle, I had a solid hard material tonneau cover which was great looking, but it severely affected the usage of my truck bed. I couldn't carry anything in the bed over 22" high unless I completely removed the cover, which took two people.
In contrast, the Lund Genesis Tri-Fold Cover is a good compromise. It installed easily (less than 5 minutes) and provides a good look and a degree of theft deterrence that I wanted. Went through the car wash a couple of times, everything in the bed stayed dry.
It fits about as well as can be expected - due to the side of the truck bed not being precisely straight, the cover appears to be a bit off as far as the alignment goes, but you really have to look hard to see it. The most important thing for me is that it has no external keyholes or latches, presenting a clean, smooth appearance, nothing that could leak, and coupled with my locking tailgate, I'm happy with the overall security. Minor drawback - the vinyl material does tend to "ripple" slightly at highway speeds, but I consider that to be expected as it is a flexible vinyl material stretched over an aluminum frame. Even though I can see it "ripple" in my rear view mirror, it is still nice and taut overall, and there is no apparent slack in the material. A major plus for me is that I can roll the cover back easily (it secures with catches when folded) to allow greater use of my truck bed. If necessary, I can remove the entire cover in only a couple of minutes, then easily re-install when done. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product, especially since the cost was about 25% of my previous hard cover. It's only because of the "ripple" that I didn't give it five stars.

Amazing quality cover and an outstanding price

I purchased this item due to a massive rebate combined with a 15% discount. At the time of this review the rebate for $65 is available until the first of next year, so if you're on the fence... just get it!
Installation was mostly painless by myself. A few times it would have helped to have an extra set of hands for alignment, but even working into darkness it took maybe 1.5 hours to get it right. If I would have had daylight for the entire process, I don't think it would have taken over an hour.
I did have one latch break, and I was unsure if it was already cracked or I applied too much pressure so I was willing to purchase a replacement. Lunds amazing customer service sent me a replacement for free! The only downside is I haven't been able to fully adjust the tension yet. However, even without that adjustment the cover snaps in pretty tight and there is minimal fluctuation while driving. The top seems much more stable than other soft covers I've seen driving down the road.
Long term, I do have concerns over the Velcro maintaining it's hold. But from other reviews it seems fairly simple to replace in a few years if necessary. But from the feel of the cover material, I have zero concern about that part lasting the elements compared to vinyl type covers some of my friends have that have wear marks, cracks and splits, or are fading within a year.
One thing to note during installation on 15-17 F150's. If you have the plastic covers on your bed rail, the pins that hold them in are just barely wide enough to get the clamps in by the tail gate. You may be better off going towards the cab until you pass the pins. While this does put the clamp in front of the bed light (if you have them), it doesn't seem to affect the coverage of the light and makes for a much simpler install.
