Man, I don't know how I survived 50 years of life without a KA-BAR knife. It's the most useful knife I've ever owned. I've sliced up cardboard boxes with it, I've pried open boxes and packages with it, I've pruned my jade plant with it, I've cut twine and rope and nylon straps with it, I've chopped chips off of logs to use as tinder with it, I cut styrofoam insulation board with it, when it comes to utility knives this is the gold standard. It's sharp, and indestructible -- the blade has no flex to it at all when you're abusing it to do things like e.g. pry boxes open. I like it so much that I bought two of them, one for home and one for the Jeep, so that I always have one handy on camping trips.

This may not be the best *fighting* knife on the planet. There are arguably better ones. But it's definitely the best *utility* knife on the planet. About the only tool that gets more use around my house is a pair of scissors. And not by much.

I take this knife with me on every hike. It is light and very sharp. Cuts through anything you need from things in your house to branches on a long hike. Easy to clean and easy to carry!

Excellent knife. Comes very sharp. Tried to bend it as hard as i could and it didnt give at all. I dont think its mentioned in the description but this knife is stick tang. Handle feels like a moderately hard rubber material. This is my first ka-bar and they just made a lifetime customer.

I've had this knife about two years and have put it through absolute hell; cutting everything from boxes to wood to meat to roots, you name it. I've used it wet, dry, muddy, in the snow, left it in the heat, and stowed in in my jeep (in all the elements) for both years. This knife is what all knives dream to be.
