My mom had a hooded dryer that was literally older than me and I am in my early 20's. It finally died. We loved that dryer. Lol we are both natural and deep condition regularly and use it to speed up drying out twist outs, braid outs, rod sets, etc. So anyway I went on the hunter a new dryer but didn't want to spend an excessive amount of $. I decided on this dryer and it gets the job done. It's much more compact than our old dryer so that's a plus. It does what it's supposed to do honesty. Its very loud, which is the only con but we don't mind it too much. If I have to deal with a little noise to insure my twist out is dry before I take it out, I am more than fine with that lol

I've had this for a year and 5 months, and this is the2nd time that im taking it out. I can't figure out what's up with the gap in the hood--do I have a defective one or something? And this thing is abnormally loud--which further turns me off from using it. It is like sitting next to a lawn mower. It's torture using this :-/

Nice dryer that came fast and packed excellent sitting outside on a raining delivery day when I wasn't home to get it right away. Operates great too but it took me awhile to figure out how to detach the hood after finish using it being that the manual print Is too small for me to read sometimes. It dries my hair pretty fast also. Really happy I ordered it.

Not what it looks like in the picture there's a huge open space in the back that looks like it won't completely dry the back of your head.

If less than one star were available, I'd have given this piece of junk that rating. I have long hair and sometimes I like to wear it curled. I wanted a hairdryer I could sit under rather than have to hold for those occasions. This was what prompted me to purchase this particular Conair hairdryer. I thought since I wouldn't use it very often, it would be good enough. It's not! It is very cheaply made; it is difficult to set up (in fact, my husband has to do it for me); it's relatively heavy for its size; it has no way to control how hot it gets (the control is High, Low and Off); and it's extraordinarily noisy. If you want a hairdryer you will not dread using, don't buy this one!
