My most used keychain tool
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 11, 2023
I carry this tool daily, and it is easily the most useful tool I carry. Small but mighty, I end up using this to cut and clean my nails, Open battery compartments, tighten eye glass screws, sign my name when paying at a restaurant, cutting string, removing a splinter...this thing is great.
Must have for IT professionals

Calling it a knife really doesn't do this product justice. The knife is there yes, and it is sharp and cuts well, but even if this had no knife it would still be an incredibly useful tool. I use this almost daily, it has come in handy more times than I could possibly count and at this point I feel uncomfortable when I don't have it on me.

It does all the things an IT professional needs. The pen tool, nuff said, need to sign something right now, done, signed, it works flawlessly, I've had mine for 3 years now, still writes. The tweezers, these things also double as a knife they're so damn sharp but work wonders for holding small screws steady or just pulling out splinters, but most of all, the Phillips head screw driver. It looks ridiculously small, like it would have no practical use what-so-ever, but it is invaluable, need to mount a monitor? done, need to open a laptop/desktop to swap something, works wonders. Turn it sideways and you get double the turning torque for tough screws. The bottle opener, you need it, also the 2nd flat head screwdriver also works in larger Phillips head screws and doubles as a pry bar for stubborn plastic cases of laptops and other devices like mobile phone, battery compartments and the odd situation when nothing else works. This "knife" is a must own, and I mean this when I say that I have never been more satisfied with a purchase. All the stars.

Overall the Best Small Victorinox Knife!

It is rare these days to find a product that is this well made and does so many things so well. Other than my phone, wallet, and keys, this is the most important thing I carry in my pocket. I've compared all of the smaller Victorinox knives (57mm) and I believe the Manager to be the most useful combination without being too heavy on the keychain. On this purchase, the blade came razor sharp which was a pleasant surprise as sometimes in the past they've been slightly dull right out of the package.

In addition to the standard but very versatile mini scissors, blade, flathead/nail file, and tweezers, the Manager adds a nice little ballpoint pen and the single best little magnetized phillips screwdriver I have ever used, which also doubles as a convenient bottle opener. I'm an IT guy and there have been days on the job when this knife was the only tool I needed. With this tiny knife I can open boxes, assemble & disassemble PC's, strip wire, cut paper, file rough edges, remove splinters, leave notes, and even sign work documents in a pinch! Plus it makes a great personal manicuring & grooming tool.

For comparison, the Minichamp does offer more implements but is heavier and bulkier and the tools it adds don't seem to be as useful. The Midnight Manager adds an LED light, but you have to give up the tweezers which I use fairly often. To solve my lighting needs, I carry a separate AAA-powered Fenix flashlight on my keychain which I find far more useful than the Victorinox LED's plus I get longer runtime, variable output, and it won't accidentally come on in my pocket which can quickly drain the battery.

Overall a 5-star product! The only real upgrade I can think of would be to offer Alox scales (more durable) for this knife that somehow don't eliminate the pen & tweezers. Don't know if that will happen but one can dream.
Favorite everyday Swiss army knife for a desk job

Compared to the Classic, the Manager and Rambler models improve on it by making the blade open away from the keyring, so it's easier to use without taking it off your keys.

I find myself needing a toothpick more often than a tweezers, so I replaced the toothpick with a tweezers. The ballpoint pen is pressurized, so it writes vertically with no problem. The ink is of good quality and doesn't take a lot of scribbling to get going. The Phillips screwdriver tip is amazingly good. It works on #1 AND #2, as long as the #2 isn't too tight. The nailfile/screwdriver tip makes an excellent light-duty prybar, so you're not tempted to use and bend or break the blade. The scissors is razor sharp and works well on everything. I use it most often for trimming errant threads from my clothes, removing tags from clothes, and snipping coupons or articles from magazines or newspapers.

The only thing I'd change is to use a harder blade steel. It is quite easy to sharpen; just a few strokes on each side from my Spyderdo Triangle Sharpmaker. But it would be nice if it retained that razor edge for longer. I think they used a softer blade steel so the blade wouldn't break as easily when some idiot uses it to pry.

This is my third one of this model. The first one, I lost to the TSA in the airport, having forgotten I had it on my keys. The second one fell out of my pocket somewhere. On my third one, I tied a small fob on the keyring so it doesn't slip out of the pocket so easily. (I don't carry it on my keys; it makes the keys too clunky)
