Wanted something with some flare and it was delivered. Catches other's eyes because it is different. Have been asked if it is a straight razor a lot. Maybe uncomfortable having the tab out back sticking out but it has been helpful with opening the blade since there is not a spring assist. The grip's "grain" changes so the figuring is not equal across blades. Mine has better figuring than my dad's.

Looks beautiful! Could be sharper I think but used it a couple times already and it's working for what I wanted it for.
Opening it using the front flip, for someone with small hands, is a little difficult but it opens easily other ways so I'm not concerned.
Some other knives I have are kinda hard to close once opened but this one seemed easy, however not a knife that I feel like is going to pop out of place and cut me.

It is sharp as hell!! Idk what I was thinking at first when I thought it wasn't.

I love this knife. I have carried a pocket knife for nearly thirty years, and have carried a pocket clip style for the last twenty. Most of the assisted opening knives I have had were too easy to accidentally open while still in my pocket, whether through lock failure or just general wear. The lack of a spring or cam is not a problem with this flipper style knife and the liner lock keeps it from closing during use. I use a knife every day for multiple things on the job. This model has stood up to a year's worth of use and shows no sign of slowing down.

I'm just a little disappointed with this knife because I have come to expect more from Gerber. When I pulled out the knife and looked it over my eye was drawn to the knives edge which was not their usual standard. I don't understand how a edge that one would assume was done by automated process, because most are these days, could be so inconsistent. Normally the bevel on both sides are even but this was not the case. One side is clearly ground more than the other. The blade is for the most part a straight grind from heel to tip but for some reason the the tip is rounded off slightly. I broke out the honing stones and a guide and am slowly bringing things back to shape but it is a slog. This does speak to a good hard metal so that's good. We will see how it holds the edge through daily use when I get done and start putting the knife through it's paces. Another thing I'm reserving judgement about it what ever you call the piece that sticks up when the blade is folded. It's a pocket clip knife and that thing will rake you hand when you forget that it's there and reach into your pocket. I've done a little looking around and don't see anywhere that explains it's purpose for sticking up like that.

I snagged this beauty after a few hours of research on EDC Knives and I am not disappointed. I have big hands with thick fingers (Meat hooks) and I needed a knife that would fit in my oversized paw. This knife has a excellent shape for use with a strong liner lock. The sheep's foot blade is excellent for every day use and the blade has more than withstood my considerable misuse (Unjamming coin slots?). The one piece of criticism I can muster for this item is that the blade geometry does not lend itself to a razor edge; favoring instead a working edge that seems to stay sharp forever.
