Great for seed storage

For a few years, I stored sunflower seeds, which I feed to birds, in a thick plastic bin in my garage without any problem. However, last summer, chipmunks chewed right through the thick plastic. I decided to replace the plastic bin with a metal container. I looked at available choices on Amazon and ordered a made in the U.S.A. Behrens 10-gallon locking lid can based on product description and reviews. I liked it and the chipmunks were not able to gnaw through it. However, although its description stated that it could hold up to a 50 lb. bag of dry food or seed, it could not hold the 40 lb bag of sunflower seeds that I usually buy. Therefore, I decided to order this 20-gallon Behrens can. Although it is listed as a garbage can, it works great for storing my sunflower seeds. It does not have a locking lid like the 10-gallon can, but that has not been an issue. I would definitely recommend this 20-gallon Behrens can for use with seeds.

My ONLY issue is the bags don't quite wanna stretch over the top, but once I do finally get it over it, it ain't going NO WHERE!!!
My husband was CONSTANTLY complaining about our $30 something stainless steel trash can. A supposedly 13 gallon kitchen can, that wouldn't even let you fill the bag half way because of the design shape. Well this one lets you fill it till it's truly full, and I've not had one issue with odor, and it's fairly attractive looking. I had to buy 20 gallon bags, but like I said, it's quite difficult to get them over the rim.
I'll deal with it. It don't really bother me non, for the benefits far outweigh this, but I don't suppose I'll be letting my husband do the trash cause he can be quite the negative Nancy when it comes to simple stuff like this. ðŸ˜

Do not buy this product!
The product I received was not the product shown in the picture. Item picture clearly shows lid, and item description explicitly says the cab comes with a lid.
The item I received included no lid, which cost around $20 if bought separately.
This listing is a scam. Will update to reflect seller's response.

I have changed the product rating to reflect the excellent customer service from the manufacturer, Behrens. A quick 5 minute call was all it took - they immediately offered to make it right and send me a lid at no cost.
I will definitely be buying more Behrens products in the future.
As for this particular third party seller (NOT the manufacturer) - I would avoid them!
