Got this with the intention of using it on a gas grill. The construction of the griddle is great. It is solid. But the the problem is that the griddle does not get hot enough. I think because the actual griddle surface is 2" high from the actual surface of your gas grill, there is no direct surface to surface heat transfer. Even on turning the gas grill on high, it never got hot enough to char up my burgers for proper smash burgers. I compare this to a lodge cast iron pan or griddle which does a much better job on a gas grill.

I wish there was a 4.5 or more. I really do like this product. Prior to this, I was using cast iron griddles over the gas stove. Loved them too, but kinda of a pain because there was no wall to keep in the food if I'm starting to flip things or moving food about.

The walls are awesome. The collection tray is awesome. Easy to clean.

The only issue: it does not sit totally flat. It did when I first got it. But I guess after uses with high heat, it's slightly warping. I get it, things warp, and this is only a very, very small rocking. But this is high grade steel, so I guess I'm getting things too hot. The design is good. Done some great stuff with this... Good for the price. Can replace pans or, in my case, cast iron griddle. I'm gonna use it in the oven next as a homemade pizza plate. Why not?

perfect! I'm not a big review writer but when something works great I let people know. I bought this to take with us camping I put it on a Smoke hollow VT280 (which is a great product, gas grill and smoker in one... and now a griddle). The little griddle fits perfectly on the smoke hollow, I was wondering how I was going to stabilize the griddle on the grill. But just take the grates off and the heat tents off and the griddle fits snugly. Season in the griddle and you will have a great griddle for cooking breakfasts, sautéing veggies and all the other great meals you can make on a griddle. Portable enough great for camping, tailgating or day at the beach/lake. I highly recommend this specially when used with the VT280 smoke hollow table top gas grill / smoker.

So far - so good. It fits the Weber Q320 nicely. I was tired of the grease mess with the Weber, and this SQ180 will solve that problem.
Also, it fits my Coleman camp grill perfectly, if I remove the burner grate and the grill. I may not even use the Weber any more, except for roasting low and slow, with the food on a rack in a roasting pan (I am finished with grease mess!).

I will update this review as I season and use the SQ180.

Update 25 Sep 2016: The SQ180 performs well, and I will keep it. Unfortunately, the griddle sits too high over the Q320 burners, making it difficult to reach and maintain sufficient heat at the griddle level. I will place the Q320 into a happy home and look for a replacement that will grill with efficient grease management, and heat the Little Griddle effectively when needed. My Go-To griddle is now the Blackstone 36. I will work the Little Griddle back into the rotation when I find a heat-and-grease- efficient grill.

I originally bought this product to use on my Camp Chef 3 burner stove and ended up using this on my Weber 220 grill. When I used this product on my camp chef, the griddle was only able to get heat from 1 burner as the other burners are too far apart. This caused the griddle to get super hot on one side and the heat didn't evenly distribute over the entire surface.

I then used the griddle on my Weber 220 and found that the griddle fit perfectly on the grill and the heat was nicely distributed. I was able to cook multiple pancakes at a single time and they cooked at the same rate. I love the griddle so much on this griddle that I am going to return my camp chef stove and griddle and just use this griddle.

Note. I would recommend that you use this product on a clean grill as the grease in my BBQ caught on fire and caused the griddle to get really hot and burn my food. A dirty BBQ grill will also cause alot of smoke, which could affect the taste of food.
