Since I fancy myself an amateur artist, the real artist in my family is my daughter, I wanted to by myself a set of sketch pencils so that I can work on my techniques and just to have more variety in general - well these did it! This set came with the perfect combination of lead sizes and styles, as well as a chalks, a putty eraser, white eraser, and pencil sharpener for the different lead types. If you're looking for a sketch pencil set to get you started, I would highly recommend these because I can almost guarantee that you'll find the type, size, and texture of led you are looking for in it, which will inevitably get you creative juices flowing. :)

My son loves this pencil set! He is a beginning artist and loves to draw for hours. The pencils are durable enough that they can be used with high pressure and can stand the tough times of being used by a child! I will definitely be purchasing more of these sets in the future for my son!

The Pro Art 18-Piece Sketch/Draw Pencil Set was bought as a present for my daughter who is an artist. She was very happy with this set, she had spent more money for other pencil sets and wasn't always happy with them. This set was comparable quality wise to a set that would cost you a lot more money, and did just as great a job. The kneaded eraser was one of the best she had used before. This kit is something that will be purchased again in our house. With one artist and another starting to discover drawing, we are sold on how wonderful the Pro Art 18-Piece Sketch/Draw Pencil Set really is. I would definitely recommend this wonderful kit to others, not only for the quality but also for the great price.

My niece is very much into art nowadays. I asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said a pencil set. I had no clue so I had her actually send me the link to what she wanted and this is what she wanted. She loved it when she unwrapped it for Christmas and actually got possessive because the other nieces and nephews wanted to use her pencils for drawing. She told them these are for drawing nice stuff not for Stickman, lol. My sister-in-law said this is what the art teacher recommended for an intermediate artist that has a multitude of pencils and tools to achieve a good drawing and not breaking the bank.

I got these for my 10 year old who loves to sketch. She really likes them. Actually, once I started watching her draw with them, I wanted to use them too. I use to love sketching as well growing up and this brought back an old passion of mine. These are great to use, whether it's myself sketching or my aspiring artist daughter. There is a good variety here and I would recommend this to anyone who loves to sketch. I have never owned any other kind of sketch pencils so I can't compare these to anything else nor can i say whether they are professional grade or not. I can say they are perfect if you like to draw or sketch!
