It was fairly easy to put together
what'sthatsong?!•July 31, 2017
I was so excite to receive this item. It was fairly easy to put together, but now I'm stuck with a useless cart that won't stay together. It constantly comes apart at the hose connection. The handle end has to absorb the weight, and as a result, is starting to bend.
And, honestly the worst thing about it is that is STINKS. It stank horribly like the rubber tires when I first removed it from the box. It is stored under an alcove, outside next to our BBQ. I hoped the awful stench would go away, but months later, it still reeks.
So, not only am I stuck with an expense piece of garden equipment that constantly has to be fixed, it also smells awful!!

Nice idea poorly executed
Michael McMeekin•July 24, 2017
Nice idea poorly executed. (1)Within a month there is rust where the powder coating has flaked off. (2)The reel free wheels and the hose becomes loose and messy. Consequently it takes 2 people to use it effectively. (3)There is no mechanism to evenly distribute the hose so that the advertised length of hose fits. I also purchased one of the Suncast units. Suncast CPLSSM200B Swivel Hose Hideaway with Smart Trak Hose Guide It does not have wheels to make it mobile, but it works like a dream with only one operator. I'll but a hand truck to bring it in this winter.
Rust; Hose attachment less-than-ideal

-----Updated Sep/2/2017
All four tires leak air and need to be refilled.
Modified the reel with a right angle hose adapter (Camco 22505 90 Degree Hose Elbow), which makes winding the hose much easier, and puts less stress on the hose.
-----Original review below-----
Although this is a significant improvement over the plastic hose reels, there are two issues:
1. After a week outside, I already notice some rust forming. Looks like some of the components were not painted properly.
2. The hose comes out perpendicular to the rotation of the reel. This makes it difficult to start reeling in the hose without pinching it. It really needs one more right angle elbow to work better.

Basic Reel Good -- Paint Terrible
Jim•April 3, 2017
Bought this in January and, like some of the others observed paint is peeling off after 3 months of being outside. Too bad, because I think this is a well-made and durable product except for the paint. Looks like it wasn't prepped at all before painting. Maybe I'll take some time to properly paint it and it may last but that's another project I probably wont have time for.
Unable to finish assembly due to poor quality.
Vincent•January 22, 2017
The poor quality of this reel made it impossible to complete the assembly. The threads on the reel were defective and I could not get the reel or the handle to attach. When I called the company, I was told that they did not supply replacement parts and I had to ship the whole thing back to them, then reorder a new one. I did not care to repeat the experience, so I did not order a replacement. So while the price was low, so was the quality.
