But why did I have to buy it in the first place??? In my mind, 30 amps is 30 amps. So why do generator manufacturers have to have their own plug? This adapter plug may be needed ( I did ) but, otherwise, it really is a waste of money.

I think this plug is very solid and works very well. Supports the heavy RV electric cord when hanging from my generator. Next time I'll buy the pigtail just for the added length.
