This appears to be a well-crafted knife, with a blade angle suitable to scoring chestnuts for roasting. Taking a star off for lack of sheath (as mentioned in numerous reviews).
Great knife. Watch your cutting boards.

The knife works great. If you make chestnuts more than once it is worth getting.
One thing I have found is that it tends to cut up the cutting board when it passes off the nut. Not a big deal just don't use your best cutting board.
The knife is well made and comes in a plastic tube for storage.

Great feel in your hand. Well-balanced. Good sharp point. The only really decent knife out there for cutting into chestnuts. Worth the little bit extra..
