Just got this; it looks like original and includes d-ring (hanging ring). Initially looked like I might have to grind handle down a little but, based on the advice of other reviewers, I drew it right into place using a 10-24 x 1 1/2" stainless machine screw, regular round head with Phillips. Didn't have to grind down the head of screw either although at first thought I would. Once in place I backed out the screw and added a split-washer type stainless lockwasher and reinstalled the machine screw. Looks as good as it did when we received it as a wedding present 46 years ago. I was able to find the stainless screw & lockwasher at Rural King.

This handle fit my Farberware skillet, which is over 53 years old, perfectly!

Many reviews on this handle state that it doesn't fit the frying pan. The handle I put on my Fabarware wasn't a perfect fit either. But after a little filing on the insertion end, it fit very nicely onto pan. This is the handle you need for larger Fabarware pans. Hoping to get another 20+ years on this great skillet. Only gave it 4 star because its discouraging that you have to pay the $$ on replacement parts... the part should be a better fit. After all, aren't these things mass produced?

Great Replacement handle, makes those vintage Farberware pans come back to life. I'm reading about issues with the screw fitting in the handle and just wanted to clear- up how I installed mine. I used the old screw and installed it into the handle then I lined up the handle with the pan and started the screw. I turned the screw down until it was tight then pushed the handle into the pan a little more. I started to turn the screw again until the handle seated all the way. Letting the screw do the work, some have mentioned that the holes are not drilled correctly, if you seat the handle first and then insert the screw I think that's when some are seeing the "angle" issue. Putting the screw into the handle first seems to work fine for me.
I ordered 4, 2 short and 2 long, all installed in seconds without issues. My pans are from the 50's and still going strong. Clean them with bar keepers friend and they will last a lifetime.
