I had found a similar looking sprinkler at a large local super store, but when I went there to pick up a second one they were sold out for the season. So I decided to find the same design online, and bought this sprinkler. What a mistake! The summer isn't even over yet, and I used it only on a couple of spots on my front lawn where our sprinkler system doesn't do a good enough job. This sprinkler broke after about 8 weeks of occasional use, while the similar sprinkler that I got from an often so under appreciated local super store is still going strong in my much bigger backyard.
The problem is the low quality aluminum rivet that holds the spinning wheel to the sprinkler itself. It simply came off, and there's no way to reattach it. At this price the sprinkler should have survived for sure more than the about 16 uses in 8 weeks. I guess I will take my business to Wally again next year, and get 2 of this design right away, for a cheaper price than what I paid for this one. I do like the design though since the spinning wheel keeps the water closer to the ground so more water will reach the soil and less water will evaporate.

Does what it's supposed to do. Good sprinkler.

Works great. I bought this to water the smaller "square" areas of my yard but it also works well for large applications also. Works very well under low pressure. I did not measure but the 35 ft. coverage claim appears to be accurate. I give it a five because it does what it claims to do and the construction quality is very good. I liked it enough that I bought another. Time will tell how long it will last.
Great Price Great Quality. 2nd time purchasing.

This is my second nelson square sprinkler. My last one lasted 6 years but finally gave out due to rust. Lots of positives, well built and reasonably heavy duty for the price. The best part is I'm not watering the street or my neighbors yard, it's easy to set the square pattern size and go from there. I'm feeding the sprinkler off a 3/4" line and 1" hose. I have no problems hitting a solid 35 plus feet (that would be 17 to 18 feet on each side of the sprinkler.
This delivers a true rain like pattern so it will take about 30 to 45 minutes to water in a 35' square with the correct amount of water (at least 3/4 of an inch per application).

This is a wonderful sprinkler that I remember my parents using to water our lawn and for allowing me to run through on hot summer days. It provides a seemingly square pattern of water dispersion, depending on how much water pressure is applied. It can do a good job for about 20' x 20' or more, or 3' x 3', so it's very versatile -- and dependable. This is my favorite sprinkler, but I'm pleased with my Gilmour Sprinklers, as well. Depends on your needs. Highly recommend.
A Nice Sprinkler

This is a really nice, little sprinkler. It sprays the water in a gentle spray which soaks the area in very little time. The sprinkler itself is made out of metal, so it has a nice, heavy feel to it, and it sits nicely without moving around much. It does spray in a square pattern, which is nice if you need that, but for me doesn't make too much of a difference.
