It does NOT give you a bald cut. For pros only I guess.

I literally had to stop in the middle of shaving my head for the second attempt with these clippers to come write this review.
Apparently, these are intended for professionals. The manual is very vague on how to manipulate the blade control to make it a closer shave.
The name of this product "BALDING Clippers" is SUPER deceiving. I used to use the Wahl Peanut. I used it for 3 years. It got my head SUPER smooth, with ZERO adjustments. When it finally died, I bought these, mainly due to the high reviews and the NAME OF THE PRODUCT!
They are way too bulky and big to do any "balding" shaves. And it certainly isn't as close of a shave as the Peanut.
I would return it ASAP, but can I really return a product I have attempted to cut my hair with twice?
It not takes me (literally) 3 times longer to cut my hair than it took with the Wahl Peanut. I should have just bought another one.

I bought this to shave my face. I've been using T-Trimmers for years but I wanted something that cut faster and closer. I can't use regular electric razors because they cut too close and I break out in hair bumps. I went to the Philips Norelco OneBlade Trimmer to try and shave my face. The product was fantastic but once again I found myself with the problem of cutting too close and breaking out with hair bumps. I saw the Wahl Balding Clipper on Amazon for years but I was scared off by reviews saying that the clipper cut them and stuff. Two weeks ago I went for it and bought this. Long story short....I like it. It cuts slightly closer than my T-Trimmer and it is faster. I have to make several passes with this but the blade does the job. The Blade is bigger than my T-Trimmer so the shave is a bit faster. It's very quiet too. I would say the product lives up to it's description. People complaining about cutting themselves? You need to be careful. You can not take these and jam it against your skin like you can with the weaker clippers out there. You will surely regret it. These blades are sharp. Sharpest clippers I've ever owned. When I read professional I thought to myself, "Professional my butt. Does it really matter?" I guess it does. I found my face shaver.

I purchased this because I was looking for a closer when trimmer my facial hair and body hair without using a razor. I had no idea how close it would be. These clippers are ideal if you would prefer not to use a razor. But be warned , the cut very close and you will scar yourself pretty bad if you aren't careful. I have several scratch marks across my chest as a result. They've turned pretty dark and looks like they may turn into scars :(. I've since learned how to use these very sharp clippers correctly. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

I've had this clipper on my wish list for 6 months, afraid to buy it because enough of the negative reviews compelled me to resist. But I decided to finally pull the trigger on it, and I can tell you I'm beyond impressed.
I use these to buzz my head with the 1/16th inch guard. I don't use razors, so I've always searched for a good set of clippers that'll give me that 2-3 day growth look after shaving.
1) The power this has is markedly more noticeable than standard clippers. It sheared my hair effortlessly.
2) It didn't cut me or leave any irritation whatsoever, and I have a hyper sensitive scalp. I always get redness or irritation after my previous clipper session, but not with this one. I'm truly amazed.
3) Some reviews say it's "loud"... but it's not any louder than any others I've used.

This is my 4th set of clippers from this company. I have been extremely satisfied with the 3 previous machines purchased from Wahl. I have been cutting my hair for the last 7 years, only going to a barber on special occasions. On my last visit I asked my barber for recommendations on a balding shaver and he recommended this unit.
