For my application, the length of the pipe was critical, but unfortunately, the specs were off by a few inches. I ended up just cutting off the bottom portion of the mount with a hack saw because I couldn't find any other mounts on the market that would work in my situation. I don't like how if you are not letting your monitor/tv rest on the bottom of the pipe, there is only a single Allen bolt holding all the weight with tension. From the images, I had thought that the Vesa mount portion was connected through the various holes, but that's not the case. Some of the bolt adjustments are challenging if you don't have clear access to the reverse side of the screen. Besides these issues, the mount is sturdy and worked for mounting my 30 lb Odyssey G9 monitor, and I'm happy with the results.

not that anyone will get down this far into the reviews, but i bought this to mount horizontally next to my bed so my screen could swing in front of me from the side. it works beautifully once I added a piece of wire from the monitor up to a bolt a few feet above the spot where it's mounted on the wall. removed the bolt that limits range of motion so the one remaining bolt acts as a pivot.
now i have a 30 inch arm i can push out of the way and have lying against the wall when not in use or watch from across the room.
not sure why no one designs a 3 -4 foot wall mount. was also thinking you could put 2 or 3 of the 14 dollar ones together, would probably work better.

My VideoSecu LCD TV Monitor Ceiling Mount Kit arrived on time and in good condition. This is a great product and at a great price. I have a mirrored wall that I needed to mount a TV on, luckily for me I remembered seeing a Ceiling Mount TV holder here some months ago. I have placed wall mounted TV holders in my house as well as in my family and friends homes, but never a ceiling mounted TV holder, until now. It looked difficult at first, but after opening the packages it got simpler. Very easy to install. Just make sure to screw into the center of the ceiling joist and not the edge of the ceiling joist, I did by using a nail and hammer and tapping into the sheetrock until the nail hit air and not wood. My electronic stud finder found my ceiling joist, but my hammer and nail found the exact edges of the ceiling joist. This is a great product. I give this a 5 star rating.

Just got my mount. Pretty much as advertised. Nothing fancy, your run of the mill Chinese steel mount.
I, like a few others, will be hacking the bar to allow me to mount the TV higher.
I will be mounting my TV outside under my patio cover so I want it pretty high under the eve. I also want it close to the wall. With normal installation, this mount makes the Back of the TV 5" or so off the wall.
I was messing with the mount and realized I could use this mount a bit differently than intended and have the back of my TV about 2" from the wall.
Since the TV mounting plate swivels(where the TV mounts) over 180', I realized I could install the mount 90' off from intended and swivel the mounting plate 90' and mount that way. Of course doing this you lose most of the swiveling feature of the mount since with the TV sitting straight you have the swivel already at 90'
Doesnt matter to as the viewing of the TV will be from my bar.
