Carpel tunnel relief

I've been using IMAK splints for years now. I prefer the slip-on over the Velcro since they are easier to put on. I ordered these because I thought they were the same as my others, however, the universal fit seems to be a lot larger than the previous version. They are bigger, but they still work stabilizing my wrist enough to avoid the painful discomfort that wakes me in the middle of the night. I've tried many other brands and these are the most comfortable to sleep in.

Recently, I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel and am to wear these at night. I am still trying to adjust to them as 1) they become hot to me and 2) bothersome because I just don't like anything on my arms that seem constricting. However, I am feeling the benefit from wearing them and they are much more comfortable than the standard ones that are hard as bricks. That being said, the issues I have are more personal in nature. I recommend the IMAK splint wrist guard as being effective.

Palm rests comfortably on palmar component of device but yours fingers are free to flexed (there is no hard component to prevent this) so the device does not really support your fingers. I do not see any difference after wearing these (I got 2 for both hands/wrist) since I got them.
SO comfortable.

This works great if you want to take off your daily wrist brace and wear something more comfortable at night - but still keep the wrist stable and unbending. Seemed silly to buy at first - just for comfort - but it's SO comfortable that it's worth the price. You could certainly use it during the day if you didn't need much use of your fingers and hands - but I use it at night for comfort and for a change from the daily splint.
which I don't like. I prefer the old style

This is my second pair of IMAK wrist supports. My other pair lasted at least five years and I only bought this pair because my others started to smell awful. This pair is somewhat different - the splint is much longer and covers my fingers, which I don't like. I prefer the old style. Also, the little mound of beads or whatever (presses against the palm of your hand) is not as large and comfortable as the old ones.

Those two quibbles aside, these work perfectly for what they're supposed to do - stop the tingling and numbness I used to get in my hands and arms at night. The tingling stopped the first night I wore them. I woke up that morning amazed and very pleased. For years now, I've slept through the night without being wakened by the tingling as I used to.
The only problem I ever have is that I occasionally remove the splints in my sleep and suddenly find myself waking up to the pain again but luckily I don't do that too often.
