I use it with my laptop / Cambridge DacMagic XS DAC or Onkyo's DP-S1 DAP, Audioengine's N22 amp & Q Acoustics 3010 bookshelf speakers. My home office became a great hang around place :) I read that they are getting hot after time, I listen them with 15% volume and they remain cool even after 6-7 hours of use. Highly recommending.

Very pleased with my purchase. A lot of smooth tight bass for a fairly small package. Adjustments allow you to taillor the bass effects to meet most peoples needs and expection. Also a high wife acceptance factor which was a big factor in my decision.

The S8 brought clarity to poorly recorded base on the Thelonious Monk Genius of Modern Music volume 1, for which I am greatful. The S8 also produces clean full base sounds on rock, classical and other jazz cd's. I am thoroughly pleased with the S8.

Bought these and the powered sub to use with my sim racing rig and wanted another set to use on my gaming and regular use PC but the sub was going to be too tall to fit in my desk space. I emailed Audioengine about the feet and they emailed be back right away. They told me the feet could be removed and replaced if I wanted. So I ordered everything up and when I got the sub I took the feet off and cut a little bit off of them and it fit perfect. Great sound for gaming and music. Very pleased.
