Yes you can swap this with most/all the other tanks. Frankie, Mountain Plumbing Products, etc..

This is the same 1300W unit everyone seems to OEM and mark up. I took apart my leaking Mountain Plumbing and this to compare. First thing I noticed was why my old unit was leaking, it was because the plastic clamps snapped. This new one had metal clamps. Yeah. Same amount of insulation and same stainless tank. The old one had an LED when the unit was actively heating and this does not, but SO WHAT. Happy I took the slight gamble and ordered this generic unit vs. the 'name brand'. It is disgraceful that any of these fail so quickly. While I doubt this one will break any records, it will do just fine. Note that this one had the water IN on the right side and the old one was on the left side, but I had enough tubing in the line that it didn't matter.
You need to buy a compression nut and 3/8" ferrel and reducer (I reused the reducer from my old tank

I swapped out a 6 year old unit that began leaking from the center pipe with this one. Overall, an easy swap EXCEPT they changed the center pipe that exits the tank. The old one (right photo) had a built in flange and nut that threaded onto a reducer. The new one (right photo) has just a straight pipe. The instructions say to use a clamp to install the water line. Really? The water line is a smaller diameter than the pipe exiting the tank, so that won't work. Plus, they do not include a clamp. I ended up buying a compression nut and a 3/8" ferrel and re-used the threaded adapter (the silver colored piece) to attach the water line. Why did they do that? I have no idea. Also, when I first tested it water was leaking from the compression nut. I had to reinstall it and make sure the ferrel was at the end of the pipe prior to threading the adapter to the nut. The first time I had installed it the ferrel had slide down too far down the pipe. This is why I HATE plumbing projects. I would have given this 5 stars but gave it 4 for this reason.
Used instead of Franke HT-200

I got this to replace a leading Franke HT-200 in the hope that is was the same product at a significantly lower price. It appears identical and the Franke unit is labelled HT-200 (AH-1300). It was an easy replacement and it works so far. Is it the same? I'm not sure! The Franke had a mechanism to drain the output line back into the tank. The resulted in a delay before the hot water started to run - but guaranteed that the water was hot and that the feed tube wasn't cooked by hot water. I don't think the Waste King has the same delay, but I'm not really sure.
Great replacement tank for my Waste King hot water dispenser

After 5 years, my hot water dispenser tank sprung a leak.
From what I research, this is about par for these type of tanks.
We love and get tons of use from this dispenser, so it was basically a question of if we could just buy a replacement tank, or if we needed to purchase an entirely new unit all together.
Turns out, this replacement tank is all we needed.
Our plumber took all of about 30 minutes to swap this one out for the leaky one. It took me more time to clear out my undersink area than it took him to install.
Love it!

This is my 3rd hot water dispenser in roughly forty years. The first was by another brand and the last 2 are by Waste King. This last time I only needed to replace the tank. I use it many times during the day for numerous reasons from making tea to efficiently soaking pans or dishes. Water and time isn't wasted waiting for the tap tp heat up.
