I've worked in forestry for most of my life and have used machetes daily and really put many different brands to the test. The fact is there is no better machete made. Don't waist your time or money on anything else.

I love the heavy weight, sturdy, and sharp aspects it uses to chop through the brush. Side swipes work good on the blackberry vines like a samurai blade yet it is heavy enough to chop through heavier limbs very well.
The biggest problem it is perhaps too heavy at times. It takes a good arm to swing this hard for very long one handed. Two hands work good to help fight fatigue but you end up swing it more like a samurai than Indiana Jones would like.
A longer handle would help to hold onto it better, especially with two handed use.

I love this machete despite it's flaws. It is a long blade and the thickness makes it a heavy beast but it will chop through some thick tree limbs. I agree with the claim that the handle is it's biggest drawback and I honestly wish OKC would put on the same grip style as their other knives. I wrapped it on Wilson Wrap because the weight of it feels like I might accidentally sling it to the next county. Other than that, it's a great tool if you like a nice heavy duty cutter.

Over all it is a good tool. I used it to clear some bamboo of the property. I with they included a sheath with it.
The handle is not the most comfortable but feels sturdy and will probably last a long time.
So far it has taken about 4 hours of heavy use and feels like a very good quality implement.
