Should Have Lasted Longer

I've owned this ironing board for 6 years now. It has a very sturdy wall mount system and frame, but the front half of the ironing board itself tends to sag down which I find slightly annoying. Also, there is a wire between the two halves that broke several years ago. It didn't seem to effect the function much, but now one of the two "hinges" has broken. It looks to be made of molded metal. I just contacted Hafele and the only replacement part they make for this product is the cover. Since my husband only uses this ironing board once a week and is not overly hard on it, I would have expected it to last longer. Unfortunately I can't find any similar product by another manufacturer so it looks like I'm going to have to buy a whole new unit.

Talk about ruggedly made. It weighs a lot and is so strong it could probably have a second life as a diving board. Goes up and down really easily, just top notch but given the price you do expect quality. It exceeds it.

It never occurred to me that finding an ironing board cover would be this challenging! While the board itself is very nice, it does not come with a cover and finding one that fits has been a struggle. I finally found one that will work, but it is a little narrow & I fight to keep it in place sometimes.
