Don't be a fool like me. Look behind the stereo before buying

PAC's website shows that this product (12-pin) will work for 2005 Chevy Uplander (24-pin). IT DOES NOT. Don't be a fool like me. Look behind the stereo before buying. One star to smite PAC.

No idea if the product actually works, will update after switching.
Good. Nice audio solution.

It operates as advertised by adding two inputs to the cars stereo. Great for adding an mp3 player or phone audio. Downside is it is not easily powered to the radio's power circuit which is controlled by a data line for on/off operation.
its alright... not great

Its alright... it works, but picks up interference,,, the first one was CRAP. so it had to be returned.
Works, but volume is low, not as good as the built-in sources.

Item did in fact work as advertised, but the volume is significantly less than the factory audio sources (XM, CD, Radio) - if you try to turn up your audio source (in my case a cell phone) past 50% it causes the speakers to pop and it's pure distortion. There is no sensitivity adjustment - the picture in the product description looks like there's a set screw hole but the unit I received has no such hole. At full volume on the radio and the highest point on the audio source, the volume is still lower than the XM/CD at say 60%.

This product would probably work fine for a movie or a video game system. But if you're looking for sound quality for music, might look elsewhere.
Extremely poor sound quality

The installation of this unit was very straight forward for me in my 2006 Chevrolet 3/4 pickup with the Bose 6-disc in dash CD and XM radio equipped truck. But that was about all the good I could find with this unit. The sound quality is horrible with this item. I was hooking my iphone to this unit and trying to listen to everything from podcast to music. To get even tolerable sound out of this I had to turn the volume on my phone down to around half way, then crank the volume on the truck radio almost all the way to the max. And even then it can be hard to hear sometimes. I thought it may have been an issues with the aux cord I was using or the RCA to 3.5mm adapter I was using. Upgrading those to higher quality items did nothing to help with the sound on this unit. I would strongly encourage buyers to look elsewhere when considering this item, I wish I had.
