Very handy, sturdy

I've had one of these for several years. I thought enough of it to get this one for a gardening friend for her birthday. This and a pair of clippers are all I need to take to the garden most of the time.
I recommend this gardening tool over any other product

I recommend this gardening tool over any other product. The fact that it is weighted in such a way it helps in it's use. I have had my Take for over 30 years. So durable. Ok, not when my father's car drove over another one I had. I give these to each friend who has purchased a home. Well worth the purchase.

Second trake that broke...

This is the second trach that we bought in the past 5 years. Our first one broke at the tip atter the first 3 months. The second one broke right at the junction of the shovel and the handle while weeding dandelions.
The aluminum alloy can't handle the length of the trake itself and you can inadvertently overleverage the poor tool if not very careful.
A tool like this should be made of stainless or galvanized aluminum. This is great for older folks but not if you have a strong hand while gardening.

Will be returning the one with the shovel break but it's too late to return the one with the broken tip so we'll hobble along to see how long that one lasts.

Not as good as the original

I have had a trake for years and finally wore the old one down so decided to buy a new one. Well after only several uses, the tip broke off....just a small piece so I kept on using. Then a month later, another bigger piece broke off. Now it's totally useless and beyond my warranty/return period of 2 months??? So I'm stuck with a piece of metal for the recycling bin.
