I take my husband to a dementia day care often and he won't sit down on the toilets there because they're to low. So I bought this for him to use there, but the staff told me they wouldn't use it and to take it home. Since he has no problem using our toilets at home, I returned it. BUT, it was great, very sturdy.

My mom has a light weight one that is definitely not for anyone packing extra pounds. I bought this to set over the regular toilet and it made life so much easier after double knee replacement (which I don't recommend). This is probably more potty most people need. If your toilet sits in a tight spot be sure to check the measurements.
