CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE

I have been trying to figure out how to know when my 92yo father with dementia gets up from bed. You wouldn't think it. He really can't walk, is weak and sleeps most of the time, but for some reason, in the middle of the night he wakes up and starts running to the bathroom like a rabbit. Of course it's a rabbit that falls flat on his face in a pool of urine. I tried bed pads, monitors etc but this simple little thing is super effective and doesn't break like the pads do. The only thing is that you have to be a bit sneaky as to where you attach the clip on his clothes, because he has disconnected it 1 time.
Magnet attachment, vs clip

We tried two alarms, this one & one that used a clip. We ended up preferring the clip-on, as this one was a bit on the sensitive side, and VERY loud. We'd have liked to be able to adjust the volume.
works great

Works like it is supposed to. Really loud. Make sure you put it in an area where the person cannot reach for it.
Simple and very effective

This thing works exactly as described - and is a great backup to the seat pad alarm we use in conjunction. (Holy smokes, is it loud.) The one thing it really needs is a re-set button for when I can't get the magnet replaced quickly. If it had a button I could push that would put it on pause for a minute or so, it'd be a big help.
Very good to help aid with monitoring disabled or elderly

I use this for my sister who is mentally disabled and has alzheimers and wants to wander sometimes. If I am busy and not sitting beside her, this is great to pin to the back of her shirt and clip to the chair. If she gets up, it goes off. Also, I pin it to the bed sheet and to the edge of the bed, so if she gets up at night, the alarm will go off. My only suggestion would be for it to be a little louder. I had a similar devise years ago, that the sound got louder and louder the longer it was detached. I attach the sound part to her so that the sound follows her. It is a little heavy for this, but her safety is much more important. Price is very reasonable for a simple peace of mind.
