I bought this to replace my big galvanized metal "Silver Bear" yooper scoop which was starting to get too heavy for me to easily handle. The Garant sleigh shovel is a bit smaller and much lighter, since the tray is made of poly. Seems plenty strong enough, though, and snow slides easily off the plastic when you go to dump it out. The ergonomic design of the handle is nice, too. I still have a conventional shovel to use in tight spots, but otherwise use the snow sleigh shovel to clear areas around the house and barn. Save your back and get one of these---you won't regret it, since you don't actually lift the snow, simply use your body weight to push it where you want it.

This is as easy to use as it shows in the videos I watched before buying it. It's like pushing a shopping cart in a store or a stroller. It gets a little heavier when it's full of snow but no more than a shopping cart feels when it's full or a stroller feels with a toddler in it. I did my whole driveway and walkway (about 420 sq ft 2-3" of snow) in about 30 minutes and I was only slightly winded for a short time when I finished. I'm a 61 yr old woman so being "slightly" winded after all that work proved that using my new snow sleigh is FAR easier than shoveling the snow!
