These outlets are very well built. Far beyond in quality from what you would find in your hardware store. Though I know there will be a lot of variables from home to home and the quality of its wiring, these made a huge difference in the sound of my system in my 70 year old house. These helped primarily with the imaging of my system. I was prepared for these to be heaped in my "snake oil" category, but I have to say, I feel they were worth the money I spent.

Call me crazy, but I have been a little obsessed with clean power lately and the power port is my latest addition to my ongoing obsession. Not a lot to be said about an AC outlet. I was concerned that when I opened the receptacle that there would be a bare ground wire in my wall having concerns that a bare wire would touch the metal of the outlet and ground it improperly. The instructions included with the power port state that it can be used with a bare ground. There are insulated grounds in my wall so I lucked out there. Installation was easy, and I would recommend looking on YouTube to ensure that this is a project that you can handle or really do go to a general contractor to do this for you.
The results of the installation are subtle but noticeable. I would recommend a good power strip/ power conditioner over this but there are slight improvements here.

This heavy duty outlet installs like any other. It appears to be a medical grade outlet "rebadged" with a gray face and different nomenclature. Having said that, it works fine and I'm confident it conveys benefits PS Audio says it does.
