This switch works great. The indicator light stays on all the time, 1 or 2. That's kinda nice, that way you know which TV is going to have the image before you even turn it on. I think some people gets confused between a switch and a splitter, this is not a splitter it does not show the image on 2 Tv's at the same time, you're either using circuit 1 or circuit 2. It didn't seem to change the quality on either TV. It doesn't need any type of power source just plug and play.

UPDATED: Tried again and got it to work. Works well and as expected as both a splitter and switch. Was able to take one Xbox Series X HDMI output and switch between a 40in Vizio 4k TV and a 32in Samsung 4k monitor. Needed to first attach the Xbox output into the single port, set the switch to "1" then attach the Samsung monitor to the "1" port. Tested the output, and it worked well. I then attached the TV to "2" and then switched to "2". It then worked as expected as a switch. Wish this was called out in the instructions.

Setup was easy, but upon multiple tests using the Xbox and laptops (for troubleshooting), no combination worked as a switch or a splitter. Will return and try again, as it may be a defective unit.

My 12 year old has an older pc moniter/TV in his room at his desk with only 2 HDMI inputs and needs an HDMI connection for his kano computer, firestick as well as his gaming system. This worked perfectly so they all could be connected at once as opposed to him having to switch the cables each time he switches between systems. We both highly recommend!

I was disappointed with how "insignificant" this product was when it arrived. This unit is much more compact than any other HDMI switch I have had so the first impression was it must be cheap and not last long. Well, that's not a great assessment as one positive sign of being small is that it can fit anywhere and, to my surprise, there is no power supply requirement. Connection was easy and straight forward once I hooked up the additional HDMI cable (a small note in the item description that said "cable not included" but that was very easy to miss but fortunately I have lots of HDMI cables lying around). Operationally, there was a small lag switching the first time I started using the unit. Overall, for what this is, it's actually a pretty good product that works well!
